Mix-and-Match Pumpkin Patch Game

What You Need
  • orange construction paper or poster board
  • poster tack
Instructions
  1. Before the party, cut a half dozen or so pumpkins of various sizes out of orange construction paper or poster board. Click on the following link for a printable version of the Pumpkin template.
  2. Then use poster tack to stick them to the side of the house or a shed.
  3. Next, cut out paper jack-o'-lantern facial features for all of the pumpkins, varying the shapes and colors, Click on the following links for printable versions of fun jack-o'-lantern eyes, noses, and mouths.
  4. Place all the pieces in a large container.
  5. When it's time to start decorating, have everybody take turns pulling out one feature at a time and using a glue stick to attach it to any pumpkin they choose. Keep going until all the jack-o'-lanterns are complete.

Black Cat Treasure Hunt

What You Need
  • Black paper cats or little black cat stuffed animals
  • Silver or gold ink
  • Clues
 

Instructions

  1. Before the party, think up a series of clues that will lead the players from one place to the next.
  2. Then you can either use silver or gold ink to print the clues on black construction paper cats.
  3. You can also write the clues on plain white tags and tie them to black cat stuffed animals that double as party gifts (be sure to use as many toys as there are guests).
  4. Hide the clues in the appropriate spots.
  5. To play, give the guests a clue that leads to the first cat, which will lead to the next one, and so on to the ultimate treasure: a stash of Halloween candy to divvy up and take home.
